History and all you need to know about Portsoy Players

Portsoy Players is a amateur dramatics group in a small town in the North-East of Scotland. It was established in March 2009 by a group of interested adults and children.
Following a pantomime performance in December 2008, a community drama group was set up.
Portsoy Players has grown every year with more and more members joining.

The primary aim of the group has always been to have fun and get as many local folk, of every age and background involved. Our goal is to stage a performance mid year and a Panto in December, though there is additional activity in between times. We have to date, provided training to adults and young people in dance, circus and performance skills.
Of course we could not have achieved as much without the support of a large number of people within the local community. The actors are the tip of an iceberg which includes costume makers, make-up, ticket sales, catering, set builders, ushers and of course the loyal supporters of our productions - the audience.
Naturally people come and go, so we are always on the lookout for new talent and assistance backstage.

Portsoy Players membership year runs from the 1st of September and costs £5 for adults and £3 for Junior membership (Children get a free Portsoy Players T-shirt when they join).
